This updates my March 16, 2005 report
concerning the civil action filed by the United States
Securities Exchange (SEC) against former Qwest CEO Joseph
Nacchio and others.
Federal Magistrate Judge Craig B. Shaffer conducted
a status conference on April 12, 2005. A copy of the
"courtroom minutes" is attached hereto.
This is a very complicated case with numerous
defendants and legal counsel. During the next few months,
the attorneys are supposed to work on a discovery plan.
There will not be much noticeable activity until the
attorneys return to court for a further status conference on
September 18, 2005.
