Prosecutors fight Nacchio's bid to stay free

Federal prosecutors asked an appeals court Friday to deny former Qwest chief executive Joe Nacchio's latest bid to delay when he must report to prison.

A judge has already denied Nacchio's request to stay free on bail while he asks the U.S. Supreme Court to review his insider-trading conviction.  Nacchio appealed that decision to the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals this week.

On Friday, prosecutors filed documents opposing the request.
