A former executive of Qwest Communications International Inc. executive was indicted today on wire fraud and money laundering charges.
The 12-count federal indictment accuses former senior vice president Marc B. Weisberg of trying to profit personally on investment opportunities at the expense of the Denver-based telecommunications company and its shareholders.
The indictment alleges Weisberg deprived Qwest of the ability to offer the chance to others to invest in initial public offerings and that he concealed the extent of his personal investments.
