This is a final report regarding the outcome of the class settlement in the Colvin v. Qwest  case (Retiree Telephone Concession case).  The deadline for submission of claim forms was last month, December 13, 2005.

There were 2,765 Colvin settlement class members who submitted claim forms.  Qwest counsel told me that 17 individuals were asked to provide additional paperwork before they can be paid.  All of the others have been paid or approved for payment.  The final payments should go out in the next week or so.

The following chart summarizes information provided to me by Qwest and the Claims Manager about the settlement class members.  As you can see, 88% of all settlement class members (2,765 out of 3,147) returned claim forms and are receiving the settlement benefits.
