Judge won't postpone testimony in Qwest case.

A federal judge rejected a request by the U.S. Intelligence Community to postpone testimony from a potential witness in a civil fraud case against five former Qwest officials, including former chief executive Joe Nacchio.

Government attorneys stated the testimony of telecom expert Sharon Black "reasonably could be expected to cause damage to the foreign relations, national defense and national security of the United States."

Black took the stand Tuesday during a hearing held to determine whether certain expert witnesses will be allowed to testify during trial, if the case goes that far. Black received preliminary approval.
