Attorneys for former Qwest chief executive Joe Nacchio filed an emergency motion Wednesday to have him transported back to a minimum-security prison camp at Schuylkill Federal Correctional Institution in Minersville, Pa.

Nacchio had been serving a six-year prison term for illegal insider trading at Schuyl kill since April 2009. Several weeks ago, he was transported to Denver for a May 4 court hearing. After the hearing, Nacchio remained in Denver for nine days, according to the filing made in U.S. District Court in Denver. He was flown to a federal transfer center in Oklahoma City on May 13. On Monday, he arrived at a detention center in Brooklyn, N.Y., about 150 miles from Schuylkill.

Nacchio's attorneys say in the court filing that Nacchio was "denied his medications for days" and has not been provided any information on when he is scheduled to return to Schuylkill. His attorneys are requesting that Nacchio be transported by bus or car to Schuylkill no later than Friday.
